roast asparagus

English asparagus
olive oil
Maldon salt
freshly ground black pepper
grating of parmesan
lemon wedges

Preheat oven to 200C

In a bowl, toss your asparagus with a glug of olive oil and a grating of black pepper

Lay the asparagus on a baking sheet, sprinkle over some Malden salt and roast in the oven for 7 minutes

Transfer the asparagus to plates or a serving dish and grate over some parmesan. Serve with lemon wedges.

 

I think roasting asparagus gives a much better flavour than steaming
